I started photographing in elementary school, stealing my Dad's camera every chance that I had. I have been seriously into photography for the past 5 years. I started photographing underwater and wildlife on trips. I have expanded beyond wildlife and challenged myself to capture portraits on my travels as well. I participated in National Geographic Student Expeditions in the summer of 2018 and traveled to the Canadian Arctic with other talented youth photographers. In the 2018-2019 school year I completed the AP Photography course where I explored a more conceptual side of photography and created a mixed media portfolio by embroidering onto my photographs. In 2019 I started photographing for the Michigan Daily, learning how to shoot news events and college sports. I now enjoy all aspects of photography and continue to search for new ways to push myself in the artform.
My goal with my photography is to ensure that every photo tells a unique story. Whether it be an animal, human, or landscape. I also use my photography to show others how wonderful our planet is in the hopes that they prioritize conservation and reducing waste as I have.
