Costa Rica

Osa Peninsula, San Gerardo de Dota Cloud Forrest, Arenal

March 2019 I travelled to two unique lodges in two very different ecosystems that Costa Rica has to offer. First, I stayed at Lapa Rios in Osa Peninsula (Southern Costa Rica). The rainforest had a dense population of birds and mammals that made each hike exciting. Next I drove 6 hours to Savegre, a hotel in a valley in a cloud forest. I went during Quetzal nesting season, and also experienced the ecosystem's other unique birds.

In January 2020 I returned to Savegre, and visited the volcanic rainforest region of Arenal.
